SAAB Work Lounge

Maysa Lounge

A great space work, collaborate and play.

The brief to our design team was to create a modern and relaxed workspace for the UK headquarters at Saab. We did this by designing a contemporary, relaxed breakout space for the team to unwind from the fast paced, security based roles which are intrinsic to this global technologies company. We also designed and implemented working offices, meeting zones and a large, modular training suite for Saab to showcase their military defence and civil security offerings.

Saab serves the global market with world-leading products, so the image and quality of their new HQ needed to be on brand. We worked closely with the client to ensure their image was represented correctly to their staff and stakeholders by creating a quality work environment and a bespoke artwork portfolio which sits within the workspace.

Natural green toned carpets and fabrics, twinned with cutting edge materials such as terrazzo made for a very fresh and clean work environment. Biophilic elements were introduced to ensure the connection to the world in which Saab’s technology is keeping safe for humanity.

Agent – Tables and Bench with painted frames. Arty Lounge chairs and Myriad Modular seating.

These were introduced by Lyndon Design which look stunning in their new finishes. Kvadrat commercial fabrics were also specified to enrich the commercial furniture we introduced. Tarkett terrazzo classical flooring with Interface Touch & Tones were the perfect balance between hard and soft flooring zones.

“The calibre and depth of range from Boss is so impressive and diverse that is was an obvious choice for us to partner with them on this project. Saab wanted the best, and with the help from Boss and our strong relationship now spanning over 14 years, this is what we delivered to our client. The end result is a warming, eco-friendly, modern workplace which is very much in tune with the Saab brand”
