NEWH x Boss Design

Boss teams up with NEWH to support new talent in interior design and architecture

Mark 6:30pm on Tuesday 20 June in your diary, because that’s when the Boss Design Clerkenwell showroom will be opening its doors to the hospitality industry for a special art sale and networking event.

Sponsored and hosted by Boss Design, the evening is being held to support NEWH – the networking organisation for the hospitality sector – and its sponsorship programme which helps new interior designers and architects train and enter the industry.

Created by a variety of different artists and designers, each unique piece of art will be sold, with the funds raised going towards NEWH scholarships.

The event is being driven by Mel Wetheridge, who joined the Boss family in December 2022 as our new hospitality business development manager.

“Supporting NEWH by hosting this event was an easy decision. The organisation is aligned with all our core values as a business and we are very happy to help raise scholarship funds for the next generation of interior designers and architects in this wonderful industry,” says Mel.

“We are looking forward to everyone joining us in the showroom for a fantastic evening of art, food, drinks, great conversation and some fabulous entertainment by one of London’s hottest diverse musical talents, to give the evening an extra buzz,” she adds.

Building relationships

By supporting emerging talent in the hospitality sector, Boss Design and NEWH hope to build cohesion, diversity and creative synergy within the hospitality sector. Alongside the art show, there will be the opportunity to network with professionals across the hospitality sector surrounded by our latest furniture lines, many of which are ideal for hospitality settings like hotels, restaurants, cafés, cinemas, private clubs and travel hubs.

“In recent years, the Boss Design catalogue has become increasingly relevant in the hospitality sector with products like Paloma, Amelia and Bodie proving very popular in these settings. The art show will be a fantastic opportunity to deepen our understanding of the sector and build relationships with our clients in it,” says our Sales Director, Andy Tatton.

“There are two things that really excite me about this art sale. Firstly, whether you buy something or not, it’s an opportunity to take inspiration from some fantastic artists and designers. Secondly, going deeper than that, events like this help us achieve the goals we’ve set for Boss Design in our Sustainability and Wellness Manifesto. We’re able to deliver tangible, long-term benefits for the communities and industries we operate in,” says Boss Design Creative Director, Ceri Lovett.

Entry to the art show is £25 for NEWH members and £35 for non-members. It will take place at the Boss Design Showroom, 7 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1M 5PA.
