Havelock Europa

Kirkcaldy, Scotland, UK

A relocation to new offices complete with a showroom for Havelock Europa - the leading UK and international provider of interior solutions - presented Boss Design with the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the visual appeal and flexibility of its portfolio. The brief was to create a well-appointed yet comfortable and practical working environment for staff and visitors. To achieve this, a selection of task chairs and upholstered seating were specified to create a seamless design throughout the boardroom, executive lounge, reception and breakout areas.

Bold Statement

Alongside the functional Dot task chairs, the breakout areas feature a range of soft upholstery including Boss Design's Clarence and Orten armchairs/sofas, Arthur high backed seating booths and Agent dining chairs. Also, making a bold statement in the showroom is curved sofa, Siskin. A three-piece unit, this arrangement comes complete with a striking stainless steel ski underframe.

Obvious choice

Commenting on the specification, John Gillespie, Design Director at Havelock Europa says:
“Having worked with Boss Design in the past, they were an obvious choice when it came to specifying products for our own project. Not only were we able to obtain a wide range of office seating and soft furniture from just one source, they perfectly complement the pieces from our own range.”

Relocation

John adds:
“In order to achieve a perfect balance of aesthetics and function, we worked closely with the Boss Design team throughout the specification process, and sampled a variety of task seating for the optimal comfort of our staff. We are delighted with the end result.”

Having relocated from nearby Dalgety Bay in Fife, the new build office complex enables Havelock Europa’s team of staff to now be consolidated into one building. It also provides a custom designed showroom to showcase the bespoke shop fitting work for which the company is renowned amongst many high profile clients in the retail, financial services, education, accommodation, health and office sectors.
