New office pods feature an infinite perspective

As the workplace continues to evolve into a hybrid of ‘habitats’ in which employees can move around throughout the day and maximise their productivity, office pods are becoming increasingly popular. To meet this demand for flexibility, privacy and wellbeing, Boss Design has unveiled a range of pods, named Infinity. Boasting a wealth of features, these pods are perfect for team collaboration, formal meetings and for employees to rest and escape from a busy work environment.

Comprising of four standard sizes, Infinity pods add architectural value and a striking aesthetic to any workplace with their stunning panoramic aperture. Along with an industry leading acoustic performance tested up to 41dB, toughened glass and acoustic ceiling panels, they are taller than previous models providing a more spacious environment. A clear glass sliding door also makes them accessible by wheelchair.

The design of Infinity considers workplace wellbeing – whether working in solitude, focusing on a concentrated task, or as a small group. A central luminaire complete with touch panel and circadian lighting feature is designed to improve the user’s concentration and alertness, by changing the colour and intensity of white light in the pod in accordance with their natural circadian rhythms.

Commenting on this latest launch, Ben Mitchell, Product Specialist at Boss Design says: “We know that when privacy suffers, the rate of productivity quickly goes downhill, so pods such as Infinity provide an ideal solution for large open plan offices. As well as offering a contemporary alternative to formal meeting rooms, this latest range is conducive to wellbeing and provides the acoustic privacy that’s vital for open plan offices and modern methods of working.”

Available in a powder coated aluminium frame in White, Anthracite or Black, Infinity pods feature power and data capabilities and integrated AV, or are AV prepared. Other features include a concealed services wall to hide and organise cables, a discreet airflow system, and an Active PIR motion/occupancy sensor. External cladding options are an Oak veneer or laminate, as well as a writable laminate that doubles up as a whiteboard. To meet office design and branding requirements, custom RAL frame colours may be specified.

In addition to Infinity, Boss Design’s range of pods includes Qube, Aspect, and telephone booths; providing specifiers with multiple design options.
