New Isla furniture combines elegance with versatility

Lyndon by Boss Design continues its ambitious programme of new product development with the launch of Isla – an elegant and refined collection of handcrafted seating and tables that offers unparalled choice and flexibility.

Comprising chairs that offer frame, base and upholstery options, together with three tables in differing sizes, this latest range is extremely versatile and can be specified across numerous hospitality and leisure settings. It is equally at home in the workplace and makes the perfect addition to Welcome, Home, Formal Meet and Work Café habitats.

Isla chairs are available with or without arms, and can be specified in choice of wood finish that includes oak and walnut. A choice of coloured painted frames is also available for a bold and stunning effect, and a polished aluminium 4-star swivel base option transforms the chair into seating for desks and meetings. Engineered to offer maximum stability, the timber underframe is manufactured using a combination of hand-machined and CNC techniques to create the form.

An infinite choice of hand-stitched upholstery serves to highlight the refined craftsmanship of the chair. Likewise, an extensive choice of fabrics, leathers, or even leather and fabric two-tone options, serves to complement both the chair’s frame and resonate with the overall design scheme. The upholstery is one of simplicity and minimalism with four seams to control the application of the cover whilst creating a clean aesthetic.

The comfort of the seat is achieved through a superior and considered ergonomic, which is aided by a shaped ply form and a traditional cut foam application. The cut foam has been designed and engineered to create a 3D form that supports and cushions the user whilst sitting.

The Isla table feature clean contemporary lines and boasts three sizes – 1050x1050cm, 1750x1050cm and 2350x1050cm. Displaying Lyndon’s expertise in handcrafted timber, each table offers the same palette of wood or coloured painted frame options as the chairsfor a harmonised effect.

Commenting on this latest collection, Managing Director at Lyndon by Boss Design, Tim Armitt said: “As the trend continues for multi-functional spaces, it’s important to have furniture that can adapt accordingly. Whether dining, meeting, at a desk, or simply relaxing in a reception or foyer, Isla meets multiple requirements and is one of our most versatile furniture collections yet.”

Tim adds: “Being able to specifiy one furniture range for a variety of spaces under the same roof, and one that enhances ergonomics and aesthetics too, is a real bonus for designers.”
