UK Prime Minister Theresa May visits Boss Design

The UK’s Prime Minister, Theresa May, took time out from her busy schedule to pay a special visit to the impressive British manufacturing facilities of Boss Design – one of the leading global manufacturers of commercial seating and furniture – in Dudley, West Midlands.

Chosen as a leading example of successful British manufacturing, the Prime Minister toured the 10,000 m2facilities and Head Quarters and met with Boss Design’s Owner and Founder, Brian Murray. Accompanying the Prime Minister was the Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street.

Speaking about the visit, Brian Murray said: “We were delighted to welcome Theresa May to our facilities. The Prime Minister showed a keen interest in meeting our production staff – many of whom have been with Boss Design for over 25 years – and in understanding our pioneering manufacturing process. It was a momentous occasion for all.”

The Prime Minister’s visit comes in a long line of notable achievements for Boss Design. In addition to winning multiple industry accolades for design and manufacturing, the company was also awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development in recognition of its commitment to embedding sustainability throughout its business process and the lifecycle of its products. This was personally awarded to the Founder and Owner, Brian Murray, by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.
